Have fun LEARNING & APPLYING off pavement riding fundamentals
Our 1-day adventure rider training course is conducted in a specially designed off pavement riding area and includes instruction, discussion and practice activities. You will learn 12 fundamental skills needed for adventure riding. Our focus is riding on low traction surfaces with an emphasis on body positioning and rider-active control techniques. Our goal is to equip you to ride your adventure bike confidently and competently to places where you may have previously turned around.
No prior off pavement riding experience is needed but you must be a licensed motorcycle rider with experience riding on the street. Bring your own adventure bike or rent a BMW R1250GS from us.
What is ADV Prep? Join us the afternoon before training for a discussion on being prepared for adventure travel. What type of tools are needed? Will you camp or stay in hotels? How will you call for help in an emergency? We will also discuss navigation basics to make your next adventure journey the most fun ever!

WHAT IS THE SUNDAY ADV RIDE? Join us the day after training to hone your newly formed ADV skills. We’ll take a casual, unguided ride through the backcountry on a mix of asphalt and easy gravel roads. During lunch we will have a discussion on ADV travels and skills. Then we’ll make our way back to where we started. You can load up and head home or continue your adventure!
CAMP WITH US! For the training events held in Central Oregon, you will have the opportunity to camp with us Friday and Saturday nights. We will whip up something special for dinner both nights too! Nothing is more fun that hanging out and sharing experiences with fellow riders. Hotels can be expensive but that is an option too.

The instructors were wonderful and they really helped in building my confidence to get off the pavement and start hitting some back roads.
